How firm are these numbers?
The €2,500 wider single band, the €125 increases in the personal and employee credits, the €100 rise in the Home Carer Credit, the €1,600 longer USC 2% band and the Rent Tax Credit increase come from the Department of Finance's Budget summary. The married and single-parent bands, the married personal credit and the October 2027 PRSI rate come from tax advisers' reports of the full Budget documents. Nothing is law until the Finance Act is signed, normally in December, and figures can change in the meantime. The reduced USC rates for medical card holders continue for 2027 but are not modelled here.

Why does my take-home barely change?
